New Bookshelf!

Once upon a time I decided to change my room up, so I went to Ikea and got a BRAND NEW BOOKSHELF! Best decision this year.
With all the books I have, I was seriously afraid they wouldn't all fit, but I obviously overestimated. With a few books hiding behind the others, all of my books I own fit nicely on this impressively large bookshelf, with even room to spare. Nothing is better than watching your personal library grow.

More updates about my third novel, The Toxic Thread, coming soon!

Hey, guys! I'm doing some more work on The Gifted Series. I'm working on getting a sneak peak of the third book at the back of the second book very soon, and before the third book even releases! How awesome is that! Stay tuned, there should be a new edition of The Ruthless Race with a sneak peak of The Toxic Thread real soon!

I've Made A Decision

It's a late post, but I didn't want to wait till tomorrow to share my news. I've chosen the title for the third book in The Gifted Series!! It was between The Savage Self and The Toxic Thread. I had my own personal favorite but I wanted to know what everyone else thought. So after hearing everyone's opinions, the third book is going to be called....
The Toxic Thread!!
Yay! This title I really liked and I'm so happy many other people agreed with me as well.

Also, there's a second BIG NEWS and it's that the cover for the third book, now officially called The Toxic Thread, has been created. It has yet to be uploaded anywhere, so I'll be showing it some time very soon.
Stay tuned!!

Down To Two

I've been working on my title for the third book in The Gifted series for the past week. It was hard to begin and come to a conclusion, but I've reached two potential options:
  • The Savage Self
                             or
  • The Toxic Thread

I like both of them, but unfortunately you can't have two titles, so I must choose one. The cover of the book is in the making and I sort of want to see how the titles would look on the cover, so I may not decide my favorite till then. But, how about you? Which title do you like the best??

Here are my recently favorite top five songs:

Slow-motion Sunday

Sunday afternoon, sleeping cat, set up notebook, sitting computer, still getting nothing productive done. Update on progress is that I've now gone into my third composition notebook (for those of you who don't know, I enjoy writing down the story before typing it up...I know...twice the work...I can't help it). Also, the sneak peak of The Ruthless Race at the end of The Callous Catcher is officially uploaded and is the new edition for us and all.
Just want you to know I have not forgotten about my fans and I'm trying to write as fast as possible. I really appreciate all the positive comments and feedback on my first & second novel!! Soon I'm going to be doing more advertising and host another giveaway on Goodreads. At the meantime, I'm, uh, broke.....yup.
Btw, here's the top five songs that I have been currently obsessed with:

As We Watch the Burning Embers Fall Gently to the Ground- Future Heroes
I'm Born to Run- American Authors
Magic- Jauz & Marshmellow
Hot Blood- Kaleo
Sexual- Neiked

Roadblock

If it wasn't already completely obvious, as an independent publisher, I create my own covers. Unfortunately, the program I use called Printmaster has decided to not work for me, meaning I can't create the cover for the third book until I find a replacement program. Grr!

Any suggestions?

Here & There

I just recently put The Callous Catcher up on websites like Booksmango, Smashwords, & Bookbaby, and updated it on Wattpad to where you can read the first five chapters!

The new edition is finally complete! Now when you read The Callous Catcher, you can read the beginning of the second book, The Ruthless Race, at the end. As always, books are available on Amazon & Barnes and Noble.

The Art of Learning

Oh boy, it's the first day of my summer class and I am so thankful that it starts at 1:00pm, because here it is 10:00am and I'm still in bed. I'm going to be sitting in a seat for three hours learning about history-- somebody shoot me now. I don't know why on earth I do this to myself. I could always wait till fall and take the class as one hour and twenty minutes like a normal person, but noooo, I choose to be different as well as ridiculous. Wish me luck. At least if I find a seat against the left side of the wall, I can continue writing the third novel through the lecture. HAHA always a backup plan.

Also, I've been obsessed with these five new (new to me) songs. Lately, these songs have given me the best inspiration and conquered my writer's block. Check them out!

Upgrade!

Yessss. I finally took the time out of my hectic (no, actually, not really) life to upgrade my book. The first edition on The Callous Catcher doesn't have a sneak peak of the second book, The Ruthless Race, at the end. So finally, like normal authors would, I went and updated the version. So now when you buy the first book from The Gifted series, The Callous Catcher, you can read the first two chapters of the second installment at the end of the book. Yay!! Who wouldn't want to see what's in store next?!

Ugh, took me long enough!

An Ebook For You, An Ebook For Everyone

YES!! I'm so excited that Goodreads is going to allow us authors to host a free giveaway for our ebooks, and not just paperback. This is what I've been waiting for. I use Goodreads to host paperback giveaways every now and then, and it's always a pain to package, and drive, and send out the books (actually, it's not that much of a pain, I'm just incredibly lazy- it's a condition, with medicine and everything). I'm so glad they are finally allowing us authors to have a ebook giveaway, plus, there are LOADS of readers who only read ebooks, and it's no fair if they can't be part of the fun. I can't wait for the installation to be complete so I can get started!
Guess what! A paperback giveaway is going on now. But not for long. Win your copy!

Top 5

Happy Friday, Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good day so far. I just wanted to share with you all my top 5 inspirational songs. These are the songs that get my creative juices flowing, and that I have on repeat over and over again, until basically I have to go to work or sleep. (Well, sometimes it's still playing while I'm sleeping, but no one needs to know that!) I mostly find these songs out of nowhere, so I have no clue whether they're new or old. They are just my faves at the moment!

The One That Got Away

So it's late at night, I'm sitting on top of the washing machine, in full on writing zone, I set my pencil down to ruffle through some pages, I go to pick up my pencil......to find out it has rolled away and fell behind the washing machine.
I don't remember what I did next. I think I asked myself if that really happened. I think I imagined the pencil actually in my hand. I think I blinked a few times, expecting the pencil to reappear where I left it. Then I think I started to cry.
I wouldn't have gotten this upset about any pencil. Because this wasn't any pencil; this was my favorite pencil. This pencil did everything I needed it to. And then it just abandoned me.
I think I sat there for a moment, motionless, pondering on why life hates me. I couldn't figure out why.

It's On Its Way

The Gifted Series isn't over just yet. I've been working on Book 3 (no title yet; that decision is going to take the better part of my concentration) for a while now. Putting words on paper has alway been my favorite part because it's the first time those characters are coming to life. I don't want to say too much about the next novel, mostly due to the fact that I change my ideas more than I probably should, but I will say the protagonist is male this time around. This story is going to introduce some very important characters, with more action, much more adventure, incredible abilities, and you MAY even see a few characters from The Callous Catcher or The Ruthless Race. This story is probably my favorite at the moment for how much action that is going to be stored into it. I can't wait to finish it, I'm halfway there.

I'm Back!

I  made a promise to myself that this would be the year that I appreciate the books I've slaved over. I bypassed January, February, March to finally arrive here, better late than never, to actually start working on that promise. I'm going to commit myself to my novels and to being a writer. I need to get my books around the world. I want people to fall in love with fantasy and to vanish within the realm of their own imagination. I want to be a part of flourishing someone's creativity and I want people to realize that books aren't just pieces of paper- but pieces of paper that carry a whole world, whether fictional or not.
The gist of what I'm saying is, I want my stories to make people believe and enjoy an adventure that will set their imagination on steriods. And the only way to do that is to make sure everyone knows about my novels. So I have to stop being lazy and dedicate myself to my creation and become proud rather than embarrased.
Easier said than done.
