FICTION FLAME FRIDAY

Control by Kim Curran (the 2nd book in the Shift series)

Ever since I read this book, this series has become one of my favorite series. Like in my top six. I have fallen completely in LOVE with this series.

It's about a character named Scott Tyler that discovers he has the ability to undo any choice he makes. Meaning, if he goes to a seafood restaurant and orders the sushi and it results in him having a bad stomachache, all he has to do is go back to the time he was looking at the menu and choose shrimp instead, and it was like he never ever had the stomachache. Pretty cool, huh?

The problem with Scott is that he remembers what he changes. The others like him, don't. And I think that's what makes the story so interesting. How boring would it be if you just watched someone redo their mistakes and live on with their life, not realizing when something changes or when that happens instead of this. That could be very dull. But remembering what should've happened is a hundred times cooler, especially sense Scott's life really  sucks. It's one of the coolest gifts I've ever heard. Now I want to be a shifter. The characters are amazing and the bad guys are even more amazing. The plot isn't confusing and full of nonsense- it's actually very good. And the thing I love/hate about the second book the most- it ended with a freckin cliff hanger! And it was just about one of the best cliff hangers I've ever read (that aside from the one in Heroes Oylympus- if you've read it you'll know what I'm talking about).

This book was written so amazingly perfect that it deserves ten stars and is definitely on fire! I can hardly imagine what will happen next.
